Carving For A Cause

Torchbearers is proud to invite you to our second annual pumpkin decorating contest. All proceeds will help our organization continue in our mission of enhancing Greater Akron by investing in the development, connection and engagement of our membership comprised of evolving leaders with a passion to impact our community.

How it works:

There are two participation options: online or in-person. The entry fee for online is $10.00 per entry, and the entry fee for the in-person event is $25.00. There will be a (1) chaperone only option for participants within the 17 & under registry options. Registration for either option will be through Eventbrite. Registration will close on Oct. 15.

Online registrants will be sent an email with directions to submit a photo of a pumpkin you have either carved or painted. Online participates must submit their photos on Oct. 23 by 11:59 p.m.; for in-person participants, photos will be taken at the event location (unless they want to work on their pumpkin after the event time).

All photos will be posted on a Facebook event page the week of Oct. 24. The pumpkin with the most Likes on the event page will win a prize. Feel free to share the event with family and friends, and encourage them to either submit a pumpkin or vote for their favorite one! Voting will close on Oct. 30, and the winning pumpkin will be announced Oct. 31.

$10.00 (virtual entry only)

$25.00 (in-person submission) Ticket Price includes pumpkin, pumpkin entry, costume contest entry, snacks

$15.00 (in-person chaperone price, participate in costume contest) – Ticket Price includes snacks and costume contest entry
