Service Event: Legacies of Success CDC Volunteering

Torchbearers is excited to continue our partnership with the North Hill community through our annual summer events, which have proven to be both successful and impactful in the past. This initiative directly supports homeowners who may be struggling to meet housing maintenance requirements mandated by state zoning laws. By volunteering, you’ll not only help these residents maintain their homes but also uplift their morale and strengthen their confidence. Together, we’re contributing to the Keep Akron Beautiful initiative and making a positive, lasting impact on the neighborhood.

TB Volunteers will be completing basic home renovation tasks (i.e. light demo, drywall, cleaning, landscaping) on our current full-home renovation project located at 82 Frances Avenue, Akron, OH 44310. Ideally the group would be 5-8 volunteers. Volunteers can park in the gravel lot behind our office (67 Frances Avenue, Akron, OH 44310) or utilize street parking near the service address.

– Please dress warm, bring extra outdoor safety provisions like eye protection “PPE” and work gloves.

This is a TB5 Service Event, awarding volunteers with 5 service points per every hour volunteered.
