Service Event: Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo is a super fun event where volunteers work the treat stations throughout the zoo, marking off candy passports and passing out treats to the guests. There is a refreshment station typically available for volunteers with hot chocolate, water, snacks, and hand warmers. They are looking for 4-30 TBs to volunteer!

This is a TB5 Service Event, worth 5 service points. Wear casual clothing, you will receive a costume when you arrive at the Zoo. 

A diverse population enjoys this event, especially families with small children. Often, you will find an entire family getting together, wearing themed costumes, exploring the zoo together. It is a great event benefiting the local zoo and is very family friendly.

The zoo’s volunteer manager, Shelley Orloski, will be in touch with service event liaison, Elena Bell. Volunteers will need to sign up through zoo volunteer site. Wait to do so until your receive instructions from your service event liaison.
