Membership Retreat (Day Two)

Our membership retreat is an important part of our year as we’ll be learning more about each other, the organization, the community, and how we can work together to shape Akron in 2023. You’ll need to RSVP for both the Friday Jan 13th evening and Saturday Jan 14th half-day sessions. This is not an overnight retreat. Returning members do not need to arrive until 9am. New members should arrive by 8am for new member orientation.
Purpose
To get to know the organization better, bond as a group, and learn how we can shape Akron this year.
Dress Code
The dress code is casual. Stay comfortable.
What To Bring
Bring a notebook and something to write with or a tablet/computer.
What To Expect
Expect to learn a lot about the organization and our goals. Saturday is when we get more in-depth, it’s a day focused more on building connections and learning.

TB Hybrid Policy
Torchbearers is committed to long-term support of hybrid events from the perspective of inclusivity. Some folks simply can’t make some events in person and that’s ok. We expect you to use our virtual option only when necessary and to be engaged when doing so. We just ask that you do not regularly attend virtually or attend while multi-tasking as you won’t get the full benefit of being a Torchbearer this way; we would suggest not attending if you aren’t able to be engaged in the event. Life happens, you can miss an event here and there – that’s okay.
