Habitat for Humanity of Summit County is offering residents in the East Akron neighborhood home repair projects during our Neighborhood Reborn event. During two volunteers days, a resident led neighborhood revitalization will take place in this community, with assistance from volunteers, Habitat staff and Summit County Public Health to complete the following tasks:

General Landscaping Assistance & Solar Powered Security Light Installation
Public Space Improvements
· Meeting Location: Joy Park Community Center 825 James Ingram Way Akron
· Parking: Parking lot of Joy Park Community Center Volunteers are encouraged to carpool.
· Weather: our Neighborhood Reborn events normally go on rain or shine. In the event severe weather is in the forecast I will contact you via email with cancellation updates
What we will provide:
· The tools and materials needed to complete the exterior home repairs, landscaping projects and solar powered security light installations
· Gloves, safety goggles and first aid kits
· Portable restroom and sanitizing station
· Lunch
· Water
What you will need to bring with you:
· Your signed HFHSC waiver (downloadable waivers available here)
· Comfortable, weather appropriate work clothes and close-toed shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty
· Sunscreen, hat, rain gear, etc.
