Community Involvement

Member, Ohio Township Association (March 2019 – Present)

The Ohio Township Association is a statewide organization dedicated to promoting and preserving township government, through educational forums and lobbying efforts. The association was founded on June 28, 1928, and is organized in 87 of the 88 counties (Cuyahoga County only has two townships). The OTA has more than 5,200 active members, made up of trustees and fiscal officers from Ohio’s 1,308 townships, and more than 4,000 associate members.

Member, Medina County Housing Network (May 2019 – Present)

The Medina County Housing Network serves as the Continuum of Care Coalition for the County. The Medina County Housing Network was created by County Commissioners’ Resolution No. 03-1049. The Medina County Housing Network is a consortium of many public sector leaders coming together to provide the best housing opportunities for all economic backgrounds.

Member, Medina County Public Transit Consortium (July 2019 – Present)

Serving on behalf of Medina County Planning on the Bus Routes & Stops sub committee as well as the Ticketing sub committee. Assisting with public meetings and outreach as well as collaboration with Fair Housing initiatives.

Member, APA OH Cleveland Section (April 2019 – Present)

APA Cleveland serves Northeast Ohio’s planning community, hosting social and educational events throughout the year and bringing members and the community together to discuss issues affecting our region.

Volunteer Director of Media and Public Relations & Member, Friends of Wadsworth Trails (April 2019 – Present)

Accepted the role of Marketing & Communications Chair in August of 2019 to serve as Volunteer Director of Media and Public Relations. I create meaningful and engaging posts on various social media platforms, brand and market our events, as well as work with our group to come up with fun ways to further our brand in our community.

Member & Design Committee Chair, Main Street Medina (June 2019 – Present)

Implementing a people-centered design process. Guiding the committee to explore the range of issues that impact the physical characteristics of Medina’s downtown and navigating the set of choices involved in implementing holistic design principles to ensure they complement the overall strategy for Medina’s downtown.

Economic Vitality Committee Member, Main Street Wadsworth (March 2019 – Present)

The Main Street Wadsworth Economic Vitality Committee works to make downtown businesses thrive, focusing on both existing businesses as well as potential future businesses. In 2019, I created the flyers and brochures for the Secret City Tour.

Committee Member, Akron Zoo, Summer Safari Planning Committee (January 2018 – Present)

Served on the Sponsorship subcommittee in 2018 and taking on the Auction Chair role for 2019 for the event benefiting the Akron Zoo.

Founder & Chair of Historic Barberton Arts Committee (April 2018 – March 2019)
Created a Committee dedicated to furthering public art in historic downtown Barberton.
 
Executive Board Member, Summit County Continuum of Care Coalition (February 2018 – March 2019)
A mandated collaboration of homeless service providers, funders, community leaders, and persons formerly homeless who meet monthly with extensive agendas which address a myriad of issues facing the community as we work to eradicate homelessness. Our mission is to engage organizations in a community-based process that works to end homelessness for all individuals and families throughout Summit County and address the underlying cause of homelessness and to lessen the negative impact of homelessness on individuals, families, and communities.
 
Member, Ohio Conference of Community Development (January 2018 – March 2019)
160+ member statewide association of community and economic development organizations, dedicated since 1965, to helping develop, implement and improve federal, state and local programs for community development. Serving on the State Programs Committee, to address situations, programs, and circumstances which impact those communities, nonprofits, or other entities which do not receive funding for various activities directly from the U.S. Government, but rather, from the State of Ohio. Attend several trainings and meetings throughout the year.
 
Member, Barberton Bike Share Committee (April 2018 – March 2019)
Serve on the committee representing the City of Barberton and help to promote and advocate for biking in Barberton.
 
Member, Summit County Public Health, Creating Healthy Communities Subcommittee (June 2018 – March 2019)
Creating Healthy Communities is committed to preventing and reducing chronic disease statewide. Through cross-sector collaborations, we are activating communities to improve access to and affordability of healthy food, increase opportunities for physical activity, and assure tobacco-free living where Ohioans live, work, and play.

Committee Member, ATHENA Leadership Award, ATHENA, Akron (July 2017 – October 2018)
Served as part of the Sponsorships and Program sub-committees. Solicited $3,000 in sponsorships for the event, as a whole we raised $9,000. Designed and coordinated the program for the event using Canva and worked closely with a local printing company.
