Valentines Day Card Zoom Party

CIC has coordinated with Timberland Ridge nursing home in Fairlawn to lift the spirits of its 75 residents. As we all know, the pandemic has hit residents in nursing homes particularly hard. With little to no ability to have person-to-person contact with the outside world (including family), we thought it would be nice to provide something cheerful to those residents.
Therefore, grab your construction paper, colored pencils, crayons, etc. and join fellow Torchbearers for a purposeful Valentine’s Day virtual card making party. This community service event will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 6:00 pm via Zoom. Before the Valentine’s Day card making fun commences, a representative of Timberland Ridge will provide an overview of its services for the community, as well as how the pandemic has affected its residents.
Once our Valentine’s Day card making party ends, there will be a drop off location at Compass Coffee from February 4-10th (times TBD). Once all cards are collected, we will drop them off to the residents for their enjoyment on February 12, 2021!
**In March, TB will again collaborate with Timberland Ridge to provide a fun Zoom party for its residents. We’re brainstorming a virtual bingo, “Name that Tune,” or some other type of virtual game, that TB can host for its residents. Throughout the rest of 2021, CIC will collaborate with other Summit County nursing homes to provide similar service, so stay tuned.**
