TB Social: Float the Cuyahoga!

Take a reprieve from the August heat and join fellow TBs for a 1-2 hour float down the Cuyahoga River!  You just might see the river otters that have returned to the Cuyahoga this year!

Please RSVP for the option that best fits your plan.

There are 2 options to choose from:

1. Rent a tube from Float the River for 8/14 at 2:00 pm– Float the River will provide transportation to the launch site at Brust Park, pick you up at Waterworks and return you to your vehicle in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Check their FAQ page  if you have questions.  Book early, as FTR may sell out and there’s no guarantee there will be walk-up availability.
2. BYOTube— If you’re BYOT, we will meet at Waterworks Park at 1:00 pm. We’ll then carpool to the launch site at Brust Park (leaving some cars at Waterworks) and inflate our tubes if not already done. From there we’ll start our float at 2pm (or whenever the Float the River crew arrives).

Pro Tips:

• DO wear water shoes! flip flops are likely to get lost and you will need to step in the river in order to get in and out of your tube.  Sneakers or crocs could also work, just put those crocs in 4WD.
• DON’T wear expensive sunglasses. They could get lost and you will be very sad.
• DO wear sunscreen.
• DON’T litter or bring glass on the river.
• Bring your phone at your own risk.
