Service Event: For the Love of Music, Art, and Reading: A Living Storybook Experience

For the Love of Music, Art & Reading: A Living Storybook Experience is an evening fundraiser benefiting The Marion F. Walker Queen’s Project and its literacy initiatives for children in Akron. The event will bring together guests for an elegant evening of music, art, books, and storytelling, with a seated program and pre- and post-program guest experiences.

Volunteers will help with guest-facing event support and light operational needs. Duties may include check-in and registration, greeting and directing guests, assisting with seating transition, helping monitor literacy activation stations, supporting silent auction/mobile bidding guidance, assisting at merchandise or author/book tables, helping manage guest flow during intermission, and supporting light event breakdown at the end of the evening. Volunteers will not be asked to perform skilled catering or security duties.
