This service event goal is to make sure Akron Public Schools elementary students are equipped with the resources they need to succeed in school and families are well connected with the assets the community provides. With the support of partners throughout the community, this special initiative has provided backpacks, school supplies, and family services for over 27,000 APS K-5 students in the past 15 years.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with the event in the area of registration, survey takers, cafe assistance, backpack/supply distribution, navigators, etc. A break for dinner will be included.
Volunteers are needed for both August 16 and August 17. Sign up for either!
